The Top Highlights of 2019
The Flying Bulls are getting down to business – from the end of May, the event season really picks up speed. Besides the undisputed highlight, the AIRPOWER19, various other top events are on the agenda. Here’s an overview of some of our season highlights.
PARDUBICE AIRSHOW
01.06.-02.06.2019 Pardubice, Czech Republic
At the beginning of June, the Czech city dedicates itself fully to aviation. In addition to numerous civil aircraft, remarkable warbirds and vintage planes are on display.
FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX OF AUSTRIA
30.06.2019 Spielberg, Austria
Roaring engines on the ground and in the air. During the Formula 1 Grand Prix, visitors can marvel at a flight demonstration from our Douglas DC-6B and a number of other warbirds from the The Flying Bulls fleet.
RED BULL AIR RACE HUNGARY
13.07.-14.07.2019 Balaton, Hungary
The Red Bull Air Race relocates from the capital Budapest to the largest inland lake in Europe – the Balaton. The shores of Lake Balaton are a truly spectacular location for fans and pilots alike. Once again, The Flying Bulls’ skills are in demand. “Earlier this year, we rehearsed numerous new displays and manoeuvres. Naturally, we are eager to show them at the best events. The fans will really have something to look forward to,” says Raimund Riedmann, the Chief Pilot of The Flying Bulls.
MOTOGP SPIELBERG
10.08.-11.08.2019 Spielberg, Austria
While Marc Márquez and his colleagues do their laps on the Red Bull Ring, The Flying Bulls will provide breath-taking moments in the air.
AIRPOWER19
06.09.-07.09.2019 Zeltweg, Austria
This year’s Airpower is expected to attract approx. 300,000 visitors, as well as a total of more than 200 aircraft from Austria and abroad. It is, as always, the absolute highlight of the event season, for which The Flying Bulls have been preparing meticulously since the beginning of the year. Raimund Riedmann: “We are very much looking forward to the AIRPOWER19. It’s a very special event with an incredible atmosphere. We intend to give our absolute best and will be flying all our new displays and manoeuvres.”
SZEGED AIRSHOW
13.09.-15.09.2019 Szeged, Hungary
The Szeged Airshow is one of the largest of its kind in Hungary. The Flying Bulls plan to showcase the B-25J “Mitchell”, the P-38 “Lightning”, the T-28B “Trojan”, the F4U-4 “Corsair”, and the BO-105. Besides other air squadrons, the Hungarian military will also be contributing to the show.
ATHENS FLYING WEEK
21.09.-22.09.2019 Athens, Greece
Even though official confirmation is still pending, this event is worth highlighting in your calendar. The Athens Flying Week, which is organised in collaboration with the Greek military, is the country’s largest air show. Given the distance, The Flying Bulls intend to fly displays in the B-25J “Mitchell”, P-38 “Lightning”, and the BO-105.
