Adrenaline, action, atmosphere: The sports stars from the world of Red Bull around Max Verstappen and the Flying Bulls celebrated the reopening of Red Bull Hangar-7 with spectacular shows.
Formula 1 cars, MotoGP bikes, the historic fleet of the Flying Bulls, breaking superstars and international DJ acts: On June 4, 2025, the Red Bull Hangar-7 was brought back to life after the redesign with a unique reopening event. What once began as an architectural vision of Dietrich Mateschitz is now back – technically modernized, further thought in terms of content. The Red Bull Hangar-7 is not just a building – it is a unique experience for motorsport fans, aircraft lovers and gourmets.
Motorsport legends, aviation enthusiasts and exceptional talents from a wide range of disciplines: The Red Bull Hangar-7 opening ceremony focused on the people who make Red Bull what it is. Athletes who push boundaries. Machines that make history. Moments that give you goosebumps. For the first time, the runway of Salzburg Airport could be used and transformed into a spectacular show area for the racing masterpieces on two and four wheels.
Rubber on the runway, jet stream in the air
Motorsport greats such as Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen, MotoGP legend Dani Pedrosa, Dakar star Daniel Sanders or NASCAR professional Connor Zilisch provided pure adrenaline and presented legends on two or four tyres such as the WRC M-Sport Puma, the Dakar Ford Raptor T1+ and the KTM MotoGP Bike. "Going full throttle down the track, right in front of Red Bull Hangar-7, was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It's a place with special energy and that's exactly what you feel in every second," emphasized three-time MotoGP World Champion Dani Pedrosa a few minutes after turning the runway of Salzburg Airport into a race track.
But there were not only fascinating shows on the ground - a spectacle was also offered in the air: With an impressive air show, The Flying Bulls showed historical gems of their fleet - from the Lockheed P-38 "Lightning" to the Chance Vought F4U-4 "Corsair" to the Alpha Jet. "It has always been our dream to fly an airshow right here at our home base – and now it has become reality," said Eskil Amdal, CEO and pilot of the Flying Bulls. "So close to the audience, so close to our story – that was a very special moment for the entire team." To be honest, you can't get more Red Bull spirit than that.
Further wow moments were provided by athletes such as bike trial icon Tom Oehler who jumped over obstacles as if there were no gravity, the best breakers in the world around B-boy Lil Zoo, who showed their most spectacular moves, as well as freestyle soccer as well as course stars and the Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe team.
Musically, the Red Bull Hangar-7 reopening party was also steep: Slalom star Lucas Pinheiro Braathen switched from the ski slope to the DJ booth and DJ Rampa made the guests shake off with his beats. A special highlight was the surprise act, DJ John Newman which was secret until the last second – the international star DJ delivered the soundtrack of a very special day at his open-air show in front of the the unique Red Bull Hangar-7 backdrop, which made history and will remain in the memory of the guests forever.
